After a decade of half-hearted attempts, I have finally overcome my fear of the knitting monster. Whee! Anybody have any fun patterns for a n00b knitter to try? I’m slow and clumsy, but quite enthusiastic *g*

The Official Lion Brand Site — Which has the best illustrations out of all the ones I saw, plus everything in video, word and illustration formats.
My Craftbook’s Lessons — A much smaller site whose photos and wordings just made more sense to me than some other places.
The Dummies.com Pages — Good for looking up specific techniques, and heavy on illustrations.
About.com’s Pages — This was the one that made casting on make the most sense to me.
Now, off to practice ribbing and shaping!
